“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.”
- Ephesians 2:19

Vision Statement

Our vision is for our foreign-born neighbors to overcome any academic, economic, social, and cultural challenges they may face in order that they are no longer foreigners and strangers but fellow citizens with God’s people in their new homeland.

No Longer Strangers (NLS) assists refugees who have been resettled in Dayton from war-torn countries in Africa and the Middle East. Refugees receive federal assistance for approximately 6 months during which they must find employment and become financially self-sufficient—a daunting task for newly arriving immigrants.

Thus, NLS offers genuine friendship and long-term support to our newest neighbors who may experience a sense of isolation and confusion during resettlement. We not only provide assistance in practical matters, but also strive to build lasting relationships through mutual fellowship, compassion, laughter, and prayer.
